Underwater ROVs regularly inspect reservoir dams, barrages, inlets and outlets, gates, and other water facilities under full water conditions, which has become an important and effective wrong measure for disaster prevention and mitigation. A ROV mounted with sonars can map and calculate the reservoir capacity.

(1) The underwater ROV for reservoir dams, line by line inspection, found that the dam surface cracks, exposed tendons.
(2) For the barrage for row-by-row inspection, found corrosion or garbage clogging.
(3) Inspection of key underwater targets such as inlets and outlets, gates, etc., to detect blockage of inlets and outlets, structural damage to gates, and to prevent disasters before they occur.
(4) The ROV carries an altimeter to map and calculate the reservoir capacity.
