Industrial Water Tanks Inspections

Regular inspections of the production water system are an important safeguard for production safety, preventing accidents before they occur. How to complete the inspection of large production tanks with water without stopping production? Portable underwater robots provide the perfect solution: with their small size, they can easily enter the tank inlet and carry out fixed-depth inspections. Even at the water inlet and outlet, it can resist a certain amount of water flow, for the tank to complete a comprehensive physical examination without dead ends. There is no need for personnel to go into the water.

Usage:

  1. Confirm the tank inlet size and select the appropriate underwater robot.
  2. Pulling the cable, the underwater robot is deployed into the tank and the current direction is recorded.
  3. Do a 360° look around that water layer using a constant depth pattern every half meter layer by layer from the surface to full water depth. Stay close to the inner wall of the tank and push the robot sideways at low speed. Video and full motion data were recorded throughout.
  4. Do a focused loop inspection at water inlets and outlets, and underwater equipment.
  5. Confirm the data and launch again for additional checks if needed.
  6. Recover robot, clean, dry and store. Check data and issue inspection report.
