Industrial Water Tanks Inspections

Regular inspections of the production water system are an important safeguard for production safety, preventing accidents before they occur. How to complete the inspection of large production tanks with water without stopping production? Portable underwater ROV provides the perfect solution: with their small size, they can easily enter the tank inlet and carry out fixed-depth inspections. Even at the water inlet and outlet, it can resist a certain amount of water flow, for the tank to complete a comprehensive physical examination without dead ends. There is no need for personnel to go into the water.

Usage:

(1) Confirm the tank inlet size and select an appropriate underwater ROV that fits in.

(2) The underwater ROV is deployed into the tank with its tether.

(3) Apply a 360° inspection around a water layer using Depth Hold mode every half meter from top to the bottom of the tank along the vertical direction. Keep the ROV close to the inner wall and operate it gently sideways when necessary. Video and data panel were recorded throughout the whole process.

(4) Apply a focused inspection whereever you see a water inlet or outlet, or any other underwater equipment.

(5) Confirm your data is correctly collected and deploy the ROV again for an 2nd run if necessary.

(6) Recover your ROV, clean it,  store it in a dry place. Check your data and use them for the inspection report.
